Eastern University- 1601 Market St.
Building on its nationally recognized reputation for excellence, Eastern University’s newest satellite campus in the heart of downtown Philadelphia sets its students up for success. This campus supports the university’s working adult students as they pursue graduate and undergraduate degrees. The Center City location is ideal for fostering students’ social, cultural and professional development in this thriving city.
Connectivity and flexibility were driving design factors in this space. The suite is designed with a series of connected learning environments equally suitable for close, personal classroom attention and dynamic, large-scale networking events. The floor plan is intentionally fluid and capitalizes on the stunning views of Market Street. Special care and attention was paid to integrating technology to support modern student learning. The aesthetic is clean and timeless, designed to maximize Eastern’s capital investment for years to come.
It was vital for the university to make their presence known to attract both potential students and partners, so they collaborated with Wulff Architects on a bold branding solution. The base building’s signage limitations fostered creative problem solving. The resulting solution utilized the architecture of the space and clean graphics to deliver a powerful punch.
